These public notices are also posted at the Ford Town Hall, 3502 Mahogany Street.

Joint working sessions of the Ford Township Town Board and the Ford Township Planning Commission will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 and Monday, July 21, 2008.  The purpose of these meetings will be to continue discussion and work on the proposed permanent subdivision and land use ordinance for the Town of Ford.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings to provide input.

The regular meeting of the Ford Town Board will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Ford Town Hall at 8 p.m.

The Ford Township Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ford Town Hall.

Regular meetings of the Town Board are held at 8 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Ford Town Hall located at 3502 Mahogany Street.  Meeting dates may be changed and special meetings called. 

Postings will be placed at the Ford Town Hall and the Town of Ford website.
Public notices will be published in the Kanabec County Times and the Advertiser as necessary.
 
The public is invited to attend any and all meetings.

Planning Commission Meetings

The Ford Town Planning Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the Ford Town Hall.  Posting and publication will be the same as for the regular Board Meetings.

The Fourth annual Ford Get Together is planned for Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 12 noon at the Ford Town Hall.

ELECTION RESULTS

Annual Election: March 13, 2007

The Annual Election was held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007.  The Board of Canvas met following the Annual Meeting and certified the following election results:

Doug Bassett received 15 votes, Jerry LeMay received 1 vote for a three year position as Supervisor.  Doug Bassett was declared elected as Supervisor.

Edna Cole received 15 votes, one ballot was unmarked, for a two year term as Treasurer.  Edna Cole was declared elected as Treasurer.

On the question to move the Ford Township elections from March to the second Tuesday after the first Monday in November.  Ten votes yes to move to November, six votes to keep the election in March.  The Town election will move to November effective 2008.

As a further result of that vote, the terms of the Town Board will be changed as follows:

Supervisor Position A term will expire November 2008 and Supervisor will serve until the first Monday of January, 2009.

Supervisor Position B term will expire November 2010 and Supervisor will serve until the first Monday of January 2011.

Supervisor Position C term will expire November 2010 and Supervisor will serve until the first Monday of January 2011.

Clerk position will expire November 2008 and Clerk will serve until the first Monday of January 2009.

Treasurer position will expire November 2010 and Treasurer will serve until the first Monday of January 2011.
